Reactive transport in porous media

Reactive transport in porous media
We study the reactive transport in porous media of several types of contaminants including pathogens, heavy metals, and nanoparticles. Our current research is focused on nanoplastic-facilitated transport of metals in reactive soils and bacteria transport under variable saturated porous rocks. We perform laboratory experiments using column-flood system monitored with online sensors and we describe the measurements with mathematical models coupled with biochemistry.
