Internships and Job Placement

The internship complements the educational activities carried out by the student during their degree programme. It offers the opportunity to directly address issues in the world of research and work, providing guidance on the potential of future geologists in both scientific and professional fields, within public and private companies.
Internships can be carried out in public and private companies, including university laboratories and research centres. They consist of all activities aimed at creating products useful for research and application projects.
For information on how to start an internship, please refer to the web page: Internships and Job Placement.
To obtain credits, it is possible to carry out an internship at the laboratories of the Department of Geosciences or as part of an experimental thesis (internal internship). In the latter case, the initial data collection activity will be considered. Even in the case of internal internships, the procedure is the same as for external internships.
Upon completion of the internship, students must fill out an end-of-internship certificate and send it to mario.floris@unipd.it signed by the company tutor or, in the case of internal internships, by the thesis supervisor or laboratory manager. Students can then register for the first available exam session to obtain credits and have them recorded in their online transcript.
