The dramatic environmental emergencies, the growing demand for a sustainable development and the relentless need for progress in scientific knowledge pose new challenges to researchers in Earth Sciences. For coping with this pressure, at the Department of Geosciences we are striving in scientific research, and we put extraordinary efforts for providing our students with a high quality teaching at all levels, including a specific training for those interested in a career as geologist, in the industry, research or teaching.
