The Excellence project "Geosciences for Sustainable Development", funded by the MUR and carried out by the Department of Geosciences of the University of Padua, aims to understand the impact of human activities on the planet, propose risk mitigation strategies, and promote sustainability. The project's goals include promoting high-quality research, fostering collaboration among academic institutions, and stimulating the growth of the Italian research system by investing in human resources, infrastructure, and scientific knowledge.
In this framework, the Department of Geosciences has launched a special series of seminars for students, focusing on key research issues of the Excellence Project. This series of seminars will consist of four monthly events, starting on Thursday, October 17th at 4:30 pm in the Arduino Room. The seminars will be conducted by our researchers and PhD students, with two speakers for each session.
