The use of A.I and SAR data to characterize and assess geohazards at multiple scales

Advanced numerical modelling and remote sensing techniques can play a crucial role in the challenge of managing the risks caused by geohazards.

Junaid Khan is a Ph.D. student from Pakistan who has just started his project at the Department of Geosciences of the University of Padua, working on monitoring, mitigating and forecasting geohazards through A.I. techniques by using remote sensing optical and SAR data.

Junaid Khan has started his journey in the framework of the Excellence Project "Geosciences for Sustainable Development" which was awarded by the Italian Ministry of Research in the call for the Departments of Excellence 2023-2027.
