Graduation
The degree is awarded with the acquisition of at least 120 credits (CFU), in compliance with the maximum number of exams or final evaluations (for more information see article 4, paragraph 2 of the Regulation of the Degree Course)
Students must also have successfully passed the final exam. The final graduation grade is given out of 110 points and is the sum of
- a) the weighted average (MP) of the grades v(i) of the examinations referred to in Article 4.1 and Article 11.2, weighted with the relative credits c(i); and then transferred out of 110 points, according to the following formula MP = ( ∑(i)v(i)c(i) / ∑(i)c(i) ) 110/30;
- b) the grade increase/decrease, also expressed out of 110 points, achieved in the final exam;
- c) any increase in grade linked to the career award.
When the student’s performance is considered outstanding, a "laude" (honors) can be added by the commission.
The criteria for determining the grade increases/decreases mentioned in points b) and c) are decided by the Department on the proposal of the Study Course Council (CCLA).
It is also possible to be awarded the degree in less time than the normal duration of the course of study (two years).
Submitting the degree application (Registering for graduation)
In order to graduate, students have to
- submit an application on Uniweb within the deadlines set for each degree period (with the approval of the title of the thesis by the supervisor)
- have completed and registered all the exams in their study plan at least 15 days before the start of the degree call
!!! N.B. the date of recording of each exam (the one that appears in the online booklet) will always correspond to the date of the exam that was enrolled (the one on Uniweb) and NOT to the date on which the professor materially records (e.g. if the graduation session is on 30 June, the recording of all teaching activities must be completed by 15 June). If the date (on Uniweb!!) of my last exam is e.g. 15 June, the above-mentioned rule will still be observed, even if the professor records in the following days. |
- have paid all due taxes
- respect the deadlines and follow the instructions on how to submit the thesis,
- carefully check their career.
For any questions, students can contact the Student Careers Office: scienze.studenti@unipd.it and/or the Teaching Secretariat: didattica.geoscienze@unipd.it.
The degree application must be submitted on Uniweb using the menu "Conseguimento Titolo". The title of the thesis must be both in Italian and English.
For any problems with the application or to change any details concerning the procedure, students can write to: conseguimentotitolo.studenti@unipd.it
