Research interests in my group are in the areas of flow and transport in porous media, particulate processes, and urban hydrology. Specific topics include: (1) CO2 removal technologies such as carbon mineralization and enhanced weathering, (2) Critical elements mining, (3) Microorganisms transport in the vadose zone, (4) Flow and solute transport in reactive porous media, (5) Compound flooding modeling in urbanized coastal areas. Our approach is based on the understanding of fundamental mechanisms of complex processes and geosystems through mathematical and numerical models validated with field and laboratory measurements.
