SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF PADOVA

Padova is a vibrant university city in north-eastern Italy, home to one of the world's oldest universities, founded in 1222. The Department of Geosciences is among the leading institutions in Europe for research in Earth Sciences.
The University of Padova also hosts a brand-new museum dedicated to Earth Sciences and Anthropology: The Museum of Nature and Humankind. As the largest university science museum in Italy, it offers an immersive journey through time, exploring the dynamic relationship between humans and nature. With an engaging, multimedia, and interactive design, the museum presents the complexities of our planet from an evolutionary perspective. It features a selection of 200,000 naturalistic and anthropological exhibits, bringing together four historic University of Padova collections: Mineralogy, Geology and Palaeontology, Zoology, and Anthropology.
