Tessina and Lamosano landslides (Alpago, Italy): how to mitigate the risks

The Tessina and Lamosano landslides, located in Alpago (province of Belluno), have served as a long-standing experimental site for developing and testing technological solutions to mitigate risks to local communities and infrastructure. These efforts are geared towards risk reduction in conjunction with the ongoing area surveillance.
Consequently, the area was selected as the destination for an excursion conducted as part of a three-day summer school organized by the Department of Geosciences of the University of Padua in the framework of the Excellence Project "Geosciences for Sustainable Development".
The Summer School "Mass Movements Under Climate Change" delved into these critical issues through a qualified team of lecturers and insights on real-case studies.
In this video Jacopo Boaga, Associate Professor of the Department of Geosciences of the University of Padua and Nicola Fullin, researcher of CNR-IRPI, tell more about the field trip and major interventions that help reduce landslide-related risks.
